    Demetris A. Jones - Founder & President, Ndovu Films

    Demetris A. Jones is a visionary entrepreneur and philanthropist dedicated to social impact. As the Founder and President of Ndovu Films, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, he leads efforts to eradicate hunger, homelessness, and empower communities through education, grants, and scholarships.

    Demetris has launched multiple companies and guided entrepreneurs in establishing their businesses. His venture, Illski Transports, provided affordable transportation in Asheville, NC, while spearheading initiatives to feed the hungry, exemplifying his commitment to community service.

    Under Demetris's leadership, Flaming Elephant Films, a company he co-founded with the talented playwright, director, producer, screenwriter , and actress Tonya Love, has gained major traction in the Upstate of South Carolina and Western Carolina. The company has achieved regional recognition, significant brand awareness, and successfully placed multiple films on major streaming platforms.

    An accomplished filmmaker and strategic leader, Demetris combines compelling storytelling with a heart for service. His expertise in business enables him to lead with vision, create actionable plans, and execute strategies that integrate philanthropy and the arts. Ndovu Films exemplifies this vision, merging film production with efforts to eradicate hunger, homelessness, support entrepreneurs, fund higher education scholarships, and champion the arts—all in one cohesive movement.

  • Secretary

    Shirley James is a dynamic and dedicated leader who serves as the Secretary for Ndovu Films, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to the organization. For the past five years, she has successfully led her own non-profit, Winds of Life Ministries, where she has made a profound impact by ministering to women in prisons, providing hope, guidance, and spiritual support to those in need.  

    An ordained evangelist, Shirley has traveled across the United States, sharing her faith and ministering to diverse communities. Her deep commitment to her calling is matched by her dedication to personal growth; at 68 years old, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and is on track to graduate within the next year.  

    A devoted mother of three, Shirley offers a unique blend of mentorship, active listening, and insightful feedback. Her ability to connect with others and her unwavering dedication to the mission of Ndovu Films make her an invaluable asset to the organization. Shirley’s wisdom, experience, and servant leadership will be critical in advancing the company’s vision under the guidance of Demetris A. Jones.

  • Treasurer

    Kayla Dillard, is a dynamic leader with expertise in finance, entrepreneurship, and the arts. A South Carolina native, she holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management with a minor in Human Resources and has a proven track record in leadership, having managed and expanded multiple businesses, including launching 12 coffee shop locations in Greenville.

    Kayla’s entrepreneurial spirit shines through her ventures, including Dillard’s Kreations, a family-focused business designed to build generational wealth. She is also deeply engaged in the arts, with experience in stage management, directing, producing, and scriptwriting.

    A dedicated community advocate, Kayla is a notary, certified tax preparer, payroll specialist, and financial advisor, serving on multiple charity boards. Her leadership and vision are instrumental in advancing Ndovu Films’ mission to create impactful change through film and philanthropy.

  • Craig Borgesani – Board Member

    Craig Borgesani brings a unique blend of experience in military operations, nonprofit work, and creative storytelling to his role as a board member of Ndovu Films. Originally from Massachusetts, Craig’s lifelong passion for film and cinema has been a guiding force throughout his life.

    At 18, Craig embarked on a distinguished career in the military, later transitioning to work as a military contractor for the Department of Defense and various government agencies. In this role, he supported specialized operations requiring top-level security clearances and advanced tactical expertise. His assignments in high-pressure environments cultivated skills in teamwork, critical thinking, and precision—qualities that now inform his work in creative and nonprofit sectors.

    In 2018, Craig faced a significant personal challenge when total heart and kidney failure placed him on life support. During his recovery, he rediscovered the transformative power of storytelling through movies and television. This profound experience inspired him to chart a new course centered on creativity and community impact.

    Relocating to Florida, Craig worked with a nonprofit gospel radio station, where he managed sound and video production, event planning, and editing. This role strengthened his appreciation for the power of nonprofits to unite people through shared stories and missions.

    In 2023, Craig and his wife moved to South Carolina, where he now focuses on entrepreneurship, online content creation, and sales. His journey underscores the power of storytelling to connect, heal, and inspire, and he is honored to contribute his expertise and passion to the mission of Ndovu Films.
