First-Time Filmmakers Intensive.
A hands-on program where a cohort of first-time filmmakers writes, shoots, and finishes a real 45–60 minute film together, taught start to finish by a working filmmaker.

From first idea to finished frame.
The cohort will make Why We Made It, a 45–60 minute film, through practical instruction and hands-on collaboration.
Demetris A. Jones is the sole instructor. He is a filmmaker, writer, director, editor, and colorist whose debut feature is streaming on major platforms. His teaching time is donated.

Three weekends in Asheville.

Who may apply
Ages 21 and up. No filmmaking experience required. Up to 20 students.
Tuition and refunds
$600 total.
$100 non-refundable reservation to hold a seat. The $500 balance is due October 2, 2026.
Full refund of all amounts only if Ndovu Films cancels the program.
The form does not take payment. A team member will follow up within 48 hours with reservation instructions.
